How are the VaCaHouses equipped?
All VaCaHouses properties are equipped with the basics for a short-term rental. Properties will provide you with basic linen and towels. The Kitchen, if available at the unit, will also be equipped with the basic utensils for your stay.
Can I check in early/check out late?
Check in is at 3pm and check out is at 11am. If you need a check in or check out time outside of these standards times, get in touch. If we can accommodate the requested time, we will!
When do I receive check-in information (codes or keys)?
Access codes will be emailed to you on your move in day. They will also be revealed in the house manual at the same time.
Can I extend or shorten my stay?
Guests shortening their stay can do so up to 70% of their original reservation until 7 days before check-in. After that, they can shorten it to no more than 30% of their original reservation.
Extensions are available until the check-out date (subject to availability).
Can I change the dates of my stay?
Guests are allowed to change the dates of their stay with no penalty until 7 days before the check-in date (subject to availability). After that, guests will be charged a penalty of 50% of the cost of the reservation.
What payment methods do VaCaHouses accept?
We accept most major credit cards and prepaid credit cards as well as many debit cards that can be processed as credit.
Payments are not accepted in the house or cash.
When am I charged for a reservation?
Once the booking is confirmed you will be charged 50% of the total value. The total balance will be charged 1 week before check-in.
The value of the reservation is in U.S. dollars. The exchange rate accepted by the establishment is taken as of the day of the date.
Is smoking allowed?
No, smoking is not allowed inside of our properties but you can smoke outside.

Can I manage my listings on other sites too?
No need, VaCaHouses does this for you! We manage the distribution for your units on VaCaHouses, and all other platforms, to maximize pricing and occupancy.
Do my listing(s) need to be furnished?
Yes. All VaCaHouses units are offered to members as fully furnished and ready to move in. If your home is already furnished – great – we will review to our standards and approve or provide feedback. If not, you will have the option to furnish yourself or purchase a home furnishing package directly from VaCaHouses.
What maintenance does VaCaHouses cover?
VaCaHouses will cover any resident damage at no cost to the owner. For issues caused by age, deferred maintenance, or accidents, VaCaHouses will repair or oversee repairs at the expense of the owner.
Who does VaCaHouses typically rent to?
We are an equal housing opportunity provider that specializes in furnished housing for the modern traveler.
How long does the average resident stay?
Most residents stay for 2-4 months.
How does VaCaHouses come up with the price for my property?
Pricing takes into consideration recent comparables from both furnished and unfurnished homes, as well as market rates of other corporate housing providers.
